Viss Safe – our upcoming video has been announced in May and the premiere is coming in June. The first trailer is out, and if you still haven’t seen it, check it out. The cast of the film has not yet been disclosed, but it is probably obvious if you follow the local skate scene. We can say that Mark, the walling construction worker above, will have a section in the video. The video is at the editing stage at the moment, but it looks like it will be close to 40 minutes in length. So yeah, a lot of to see. We also plan more premieres, definitely want to hit Liepaja, Vilnius and maybe Tallinn. We’ll see.

JANUARY 2019 LINKS
First month of the new year is over! I hope you guys had a good time and are used to the number 19. For this month report video we don’t have much to show. Our man Pavel Berezjuk has sent some clips over from sunny Barcelona. He also had a birthday in January, so this report is his little birthday present! Some extra clips from Mr. Armandos skating in boots and our young friend Valters Luriņš made the cut as well. And, of course, as usually links below will provide some insights into what January 2019 was like in our part of the skate world.
RAJONTV 2018: YEAR REVIEW
Looking back at 2018
December 2018 Links
This month Rajon Report edit features some legendary Latvian skateboarders. You can spot well-known faces such as Karlis Bogustovs skating in The Spot center, and Eduards Nehajenko skating in sunny New Zealand! Edit also features some of Riga’s most promising youngsters – Valters Luriņš, Kristers Kalniņš and Martiņš Reitups alongside their mentor Kristofers Ozols, who sent us the footage. Major shout out to Andžs, and Raul who sent us clips from sunny down under. The rest of the skaters in the edit are your same old locals: Ed Gaba, Kaspars Gobiņš, Kaspars Polis, Rudolfs Rorbahs, Arturs Nesaule, and Arturs Bogdanovičs.
“Next year!” NOVEMBER 2018 LINKS
November is the month of transition into winter. In the beginning of the month we were still skating outside, and now it is so cold that even the Tunnel™is a bit extreme. Our November report, which you can watch above, shows this transition pretty well: last LNB sessions with an unfinished line left for next year, Fricis skating in Stockholm’s parking lots and subways, and Riga heads skating G-Tiim indoor while it is snowing outside. The odd one out here is Pavel with a line from Barcelona, fucker skates in a T-Shirt and is completely indifferent to our meteorological struggles. Well good for him.
October 2018 LINKS
Here is a photo of Marcis Ruiķis, Riga skate scene OG, doing a bs smith on a miniramp that he and his friends built somewhere in the woods of Latvia. This miniramp, a blue double-sided wave with a rusty unwaxed pipe serving as coping, is a manifest to friendship, good times and some more good times. After selflessly building it for a few weekends, Marcis finally went there for a session. He was going there with a mission: to skate and destroy his own creation. And he did (as shown on the photo). Although he probably didn’t grind much, the mission was accomplished and this, what must have been a fun session, will vaguely remain in his memory for the rest of his life.
Septemeber 2018 LINKS
September a month when RAJONTV.COM celebrates its birthday. Last year in september RAJONTV web site was launched and the first LINKS article was about September 2017. Thanks for staying with us and supporting the site!
While the whole skate world was shaken by Dime Glory Challenge, the Baltic skate community was shaken poked by Rajon Around The Block 2018 skate contest. It was all pretty much directed by the Mastermind Fricis Štrauss, the guys with all the good ideas. It was wild day, big s/o to all of the skaters and of course Fricis and also Deda for making all of the enders that day.

Summer is over, and as the first September days pass some of us already feel that sense of regret. “I could have skated more” says your inner lazy bones skater, or, “I could have filmed more” says your inner skater who still hopes to film that mega video part. What ever the case, if you blew you blew it hard, as this year summer was the hottest summer in ages. And if you had some plans than this summer was the best time to make them happen.
July LINKS “This Guy is addicted”
Summer is almost over and some of its biggest highlights have passed us faster than the brave hearts who dared to challenge biggest downhill in Estonia. According to anonymous Estonian skate experts, it was indeed the biggest downhill they have ever seen in their country. We are talking about that hill in Viljandi that presumably 3 to 6 people bombed during Viljandi Bash weekend. Aleksandr Tubin aka Friendly Satan bombed it powerslide free and in the dark. Obviously the footage doesn’t give this monster justice. But it is a steep hill with bunch of turns, cracks, cars etc. Check out Fricis take on the spot as he might be the first one to do it? At least the first one we saw do it on Sunday morning before the contest.
